Spiced Banana Smoothie

A spiced banana smoothie is one of my favorite rehydrating, energizing drinks. It’s great after a workout, after or during a dehydrating illness, or if you’re just feeling a little sluggish. It’s so simple that I feel a little silly sharing a “recipe,” but I will anyway! Read more about the benefits of bananas here.

All it takes is some frozen bananas, coconut water, and some spices. Feel free to play around with the spices to find your favorite combination. I like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves. These are all great spices for increasing circulation and warming up the body a bit, which helps your immune system to fight off any germ attackers!

If you are making this smoothie for a light meal, the recipe serves 1 (at about 450 calories) – otherwise, it makes 3 medium-sized smoothies to share for a snack or to complement a meal.
